Judges 21: 19;21
19. Then they said, Behold there is a feast of the Lord in Shiloh yearly in a place which is on the north side of Beth-el, on the east side of the highway that goeth up from Beth-el to Shechem, and on the south of Lebonah
21. And see, and behold, if the daughters of Shiloh come out to dance in dances, then come ye out of the vineyards and catch you every man his wife of the daughters of Shiloh, and go to the land of Benjamin.

If you were to look up passages in the scripture in a concordance, you would certainly come across this passage of scripture. As you read you may wonder what this has to do with liturgical dance or praise dance. It can be quite confusing, but this scripture does have something to do with praise dance.

New Testament Biblical Dancing

The Word of God starts in Genesis and ends in Revelation. It is the total, canonized Word of God that we call the Bible. There are many beliefs about what was written in the Bible, even from Christians. Many believe that the Old Testament is irrelevant to Christianity; that is for our learning. Others believe that segmented parts of the Bible are true scripture therefore we don't have to follow everything in scripture. I happen to know that the entire Bible is the Word of God.

Dance in the New Testament
In the Old Testament, we see references of dance and the order for praise and worship. However, in the New Testament there are very few references to praise and worship and to dance relative to praising God. In Revelation 4:5-11 it speaks of the worship that happens in the throne room of heaven. There are winged creatures that were specifically created to give glory to the Heavenly.
